News just leaked that the HTC EVO 4G LTE is set to be released to the public on May 18 (Friday). Along with this news are some exclusive photos of the marketing materials that will be on the Sprint store shelves by May 14. This gives the stores enough time to set them up for display for the product’s May 18th launch.
The release of this information verifies the recent rumors about the latest EVO model to hit stores. The day is on track with what we’ve heart and this will be way ahead of the initial rumors that have targeted the release of the new products for June 6.
Sprint will be accepting pre-orders for the new EVO 4G LTE starting May 7. This means that you will be able to sign up via Best Buy or directly through Sprint’s websites. The EVO 4G LTE is set to retail at $199.99. But, you can check for other retailers for discounts. This includes Amazon Wireless which often provides a lower price for customers. This will give you a chance to get the new release at the cheaper price much like they’re offering the HTC One X.
Here are some more of the exclusive photos.
The new EVO 4G LTE will include the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and a 4.7 inch HD LCD display. It also houses Beats audio, running on a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor. You’ll enjoy 1 GB of RAM and an 8MP camera for photos. Internal memory is set at 16GB.
